Personality: Aaliyah can be sarcastic, callous and sometimes down right nasty to people who annoy the hell out of her. She is pretty much self-reliant and confident in herself while at the same time she can be a little bit shy if meeting new people. She does have a bit of a temper but living with two older brothers would certainly do that to any girl really. She can get jealous and possessive when she thinks people encroach on her territory or when they interact with something that she considers hers.

Mother's Side
Her mother was born in London, England to Lucas and Ava Night, a Hit-Wizard and reporter for the Daily Prophet, respectively. Being brought up in a, mostly, pureblood manner, Mary-Ann was expected to behave like the perfect pureblood girl when in company of others however at home she could act however she wanted to act. Despite being a pureblood family, Mary-Ann's parents taught her to not discriminate between purebloods, halfbloods and muggleborns. They instilled a fear of punishment in her if she ever was hear calling anyone by names like 'half-breed', 'mud-blood' or 'blood traitor'.

Going to Hogwarts was the best thing that ever happened to Mary-Ann as not only did she get to meet lots of different children her age from varying blood statuses but she also met her future husband. Throughout the years at Hogwarts, Mary-Ann became very popular with the general populace of the school. Being friends with purebloods, halfbloods and muggleborns certainly made her popular but it also made her a target for the more traditional purebloods who despised her for being friends with halfbloods and muggleborns but she rarely cared. When Mason and her got together in their fifth year, their relationship was basically the talk of the month. One was a muggleborn the other a pureblood. One was British the other Russian. One was a Ravenclaw the other a Gryffindor. When their graduation rolled around, Mary-Ann was more then ready to leave the prejudiced school behind and start her life with her, then, fiancee.

Father's Side
Her father was born in Moscow, Russia to Micheal Jr and Andre Burkov, one a neurosurgeon and the other a nurse. More often then not, Mason was left with his grandparents and so saw more of them then his parents who had to work very long hours at the hospital. When Mason was four his father was involved in a very nasty car accident that led him to finishing his neurosurgeon career very early and led to his parents moving from Russia to England where they settled down for good.

When Mason started Hogwarts and met one Mary-Ann Night he was instantly enthralled and smitten with the pureblood girl and it didn't matter to him that they were only third years, pretty much children still who knew nothing of real life, he had to have her and he did get her and in his opinion, life couldn't have gotten better then.

Personal:
Aaliyah was born in Manchester, England, to Mason and Mary-Ann Burkov as their third child and oldest daughter. With Mason being an Auror and Mary-Ann an Unspeakable, the two rarely had time for their children so they were mostly left in the care of their paternal grandparents who loved them to bits and brought them up to the best of their ability. Despite having two sets' of grandparents, Aaliyah preferred being in the company of her paternal grandparents instead of her maternal ones.

The moment Aaliyah turned two was the moment that her magical powers finally started showing themselves. At first it was little things like summoning the dummy to herself when she was crying but then it escalated into her setting fire to the curtains one time. Finally at the age of six, Aaliyah was sent to the Merlin's Primary Academie of Magic where she made quite a few friends and those friends stayed with her even when she went to Hogwarts.

Joining Hogwarts was like a dream come true to her. Not only was she attending the school that her parents went to but she was also going to learning some real magic. Throughout the years at Hogwarts, Aaliyah made quite a few friends and also a fair amount of enemies.

When Aaliyah was fifteen her baby sister was born. The moment she had the little girl in her arms she fell in love with her and refused to leave her side. She was pretty much wrapped around that little girls finger and if she wasn't at Hogwarts, she could be mostly seen attending to the little bundle of joy.

Now at the age of seventeen, Aaliyah could be seen worrying about her NEWT's and trying to decide what she would like to do after graduating Hogwarts.
