Role Playing Terminology

RPG/RPing/RPer - RolePlayingGame/RolePlaying/Rolerplayer.
PM (ing) - Private Message (ing). When you send messages on site.
IRL - In real life. What goes on when you're not online.
IC/OOC - In Character. Means you are responding or voicing your character's thoughts. /Out of Character. Yourself. Responding or replying in your own voice and thoughts
God Modding, god modeling, GMing, or whatever else you know it as is not allowed. This is when you control the actions, reactions, appearances of another person's character.
Threads: Open - exactly what it says. Anyone can join.
Closed - Again, what it says. It is only for certain people. Usually they are made for a specific plot or further character development.
Invite Only - The same as a closed thread.
PM for invite - Usually made because the poster wants to control the number of people and who enters their thread. Pm a person if you would like to join.
Mary Sue/ Gary Stu - This is someone who basically makes their character superman minus the Kryptonite weakness. Basically it means that you're a perfect being that everyone should love and adore and not get angry or upset with. That you're the best thing since sliced bread. And that everything should revolve around your character.
